Aging & Family Services Nutrtion Staff
- Understanding of and desire to assist and interact with the older citizen.
- Must be able to lift food containers.
- Must have available and reliable transportation and a driver's license.
- Be able to obtain a food handlers card.
- Be able to attend OSHA and nutrition training.
- Ability to coordinate with other staff to implement programs where necessary.
- Work as a team member with staff to fulfill agency objectives.
- JOB DESCRIPTION MAY INCLUDE
- Responsible for the kitchen, dining room, and equipment maintenance, care, and cleanliness.
- Be able to prepare meals without supervision.
- Make sure the kitchen is run economically.
- Supervise and pack meals for home delivery and/or bulk transporting – assuring that proper temperatures are maintained.
- Aware of health rules and regulations and the ability to carry them out.
- Must learn to operate and maintain kitchen equipment (i.e., dishwasher, mixer, meat slicer, can opener)
- Prepare the dining room (i.e. set the table, placemats, and silverware)
- Complete necessary paperwork (Participant Information Forms, Home Delivered Meal applications, etc.)
- Clean kithcen, steam table, wipe off tables, and place garbage where instructed
- May run errands and do shopping for others in the office.
- Other duties as assigned.
