The Operations Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Museum which is ranked as the 2nd best small-town museum in the country.  The Coordinator will help execute the Museum's strategic goals and objectives with guidance from the Board of Directors. Currently, the Museum has a working Board of Directors responsible for various museum activities such as Administration, Public Relations, Volunteers, Finances, etc. The Coordinator needs to work with these Directors and their committees to help them achieve our goals and objectives.   The Coordinator is responsible for providing the necessary support to these Directors as needed.

Duties for this part-time position include providing management support for the various projects the Museum undertakes, especially:

  • fundraising,
  • communication with the public,
  • presenting programs and
  • grant writing.

We are looking for a motivated self-starter and learner with a vision of creating a possible long-term position. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, but we will consider an Associate's degree. Experience working with a nonprofit Board of Directors is valued.
